TRIP - Friday Afternoon Warwick Folk Festival

Fri 24 Jul 2026 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM BST Online, Zoom

TRIP: Live from Warwick Folk Festival

Can’t make it to Warwick Folk Festival? Following last year’s successful livestream, we’re delighted to be back at Castle Park, presenting a specially curated setlist of exceptional folk, acoustic, and grassroots music.

Scottish tradfolk sextet TRIP are the Friday afternoon headliners. With their experience of playing festivals and their infectious enthusiasm, you’ll be in for a lively and exciting show!

What to expect: TRIP make thoughtful, erudite music inspired by the world around us, but they play it loud, and they play it with style!

Inspired by traditional Celtic folk, the band specialises in showcasing traditional songs and contemporary self-penned tunes, with a tight-knit, dynamic energy and a wealth of experience far beyond their years.

About the artist(s)

TRIP are a six-piece folk band from Glasgow, Scotland. The band consists of Michael Biggins (accordion), Isla Callister (fiddle), Tiernan Courell (flute/whistle), Alasdair MacKenzie (guitar/vocals), Rory Matheson (piano) and Craig Baxter (bodhran).

The band has released two albums, A Drop for Neptune and In Terra’s Keep, and are part of the creative team behind the exhilarating Scottish Dance Theatre show Moving Cloud.

An exciting, invigorating, and thoroughly intoxicating slice of Celtic inspiration - Songlines
