Natalie MacMaster & Donnell Leahy: Live from Warwick Folk Festival
Can’t make it to Warwick Folk Festival? Following last year’s successful livestream, we’re delighted to be back at Castle Park, presenting a specially curated setlist of exceptional folk, acoustic, and grassroots music.
We’re delighted to welcome Canadian folk duo Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy to Warwick Folk Festival. With years of experience on the festival circuit, this will be an electric performance.
What to expect: Natalie and Donnell have sold out over 1,000 shows, and it’s easy to see why!
Combining effortless skill and dynamic stage presence, this award-winning duo will have you clapping your hands and stomping your feet in time with the music.
About the artists
Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy are virtuoso fiddlers hailing from Nova Scotia and Ontario respectively.
Married since 2002, they have collaborated with an eclectic range of artists, including Carlos Santana, Allison Krauss, Yo-Yo Ma, and The Chieftains.
They have become what many in the genre call the ‘first couple of contemporary Celtic music.’ - Washington Life
Natalie MacMaster & Donnell Leahy will be supported on Thursday evening by a range of fantastic folk artists, including:
Rory McLeod. An ex-circus clown, fire-eater, troubadour, and poet – Rory McLeod has a lot of stories to tell! Infusing folk with blues, flamenco, and country, this vibrant and exciting show will have you dancing and singing along!
Rory McLeod must be the musical equivalent of a six or seven ball juggler - The Guardian
Donnelly & South. Keith Donnelly and Lauren South are well-known solo artists in the folk world, but what happens when you put them together? You get beautiful vocals, thoughtful lyrics, and a lot (and we mean a lot!) of fun.
I was curious as to how this meld of hyper-comedic talent and enthralling, intricate pure crystal vocal lines would work. The answer was simple: splendidly – The Woodman Folk Club
