Fisherman’s Friends: Live from Warwick Folk Festival
Can’t make it to Warwick Folk Festival? Following last year’s successful livestream, we’re delighted to be back at Castle Park, presenting a specially curated setlist of exceptional folk, acoustic, and grassroots music.
With multiple albums, two films, and a musical under their belts, Fisherman’s Friends are a true success story, and they’re bringing their lively collection of traditional sea shanties to the Warwick Folk Festival stage!
What to expect: If you fancy a sing-along, this barn-storming gig is a must-listen!
Enjoy a bawdy collection of sea shanties and contemporary folk songs from over thirty years of performing. If you close your eyes, you’ll imagine yourself sitting on the pier at Port Isaac, the salty sea air bristling through your hair!
About the artists
Fisherman’s Friends have been performing since 1995 and have enjoyed a meteoric rise to fame over the years.
As well as inspiring two films and a musical, the band have featured in multiple documentaries, performed at the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury, and have been recipients of The Good Tradition Award at the BBC Folk Awards.
I love the simplicity, sincerity and power of the songs sung by a great group of men who love to sing – The Irish Post
